You will find technical specifications in more detail on the respective yacht pages, but here I’d much rather take the angle of a less experienced sailor and tell you why I bought two of these beauties when I got the chance…

On first encounter, you see the yacht’s exterior and admire the aesthetic lines of the hull, mast, beam and rigging, the spacious cockpit with two helms. But for me, secretly dreaming of living on a boat, below deck had to cut it. I can’t take tight spaces, they make me anxious. Here, coming down the companionway on an easy descent the thing that struck me first was the lofty spaciousness of the deck saloon. I knew I could move in from the first moment and still do! Below deck of this yacht I don’t feel claustrophobic for a second.

When I was looking at yachts for sale, I saw a lot of different brands, models and years of build. The newer cruiser models are often broader and less deep, the standard ones don’t have real wooden interiors anymore, they rather come in an off the shelf practical laminated style. I prefer real wood in a yacht, classic, warm and genuine. And I prefer a hydrodynamic design in a yacht’s hull that will allow for speed and steadiness in the water. In the 54 DS you get it all, space, genuine classic wooden interior, and elegant hydrodynamic design for high performance sailing.

The most interesting features of the 54 DS accommodation:

Five double cabins, three of which with private bathrooms, an additional shared bathroom; all equipped with electrical toilets; one yacht with AC, another with heating, both with cabin ventilators;

220 V Sockets and USB plugs in each cabin; sufficient space to store your luggage.

The galley has an ergonomic layout and more countertop space than many Paris apartments. Kitchen amenities include a fridge with freezer compartment, an additional large fridge box, a gas stove and oven, a cooker hood, a double sink, and a drying space with a lid for washed dishes – safe while the boat is sailing.

The countertop is made of Corian, a high-end composite stone. Cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery allow for sophisticated cooking and entertaining. There’s even an icemaker on one of the yachts!

On deck you will be comfortable in the large cockpit sitting area with inviting upholstery; enjoy the sunbed on the foredeck, complimentary air-loungers, S.U.P.s and snorkelling equipment for your amusement whilst anchored in the beautiful bays.
